Birchwood
LaFreniere Court
2026 Capital Campaign
A place not only to live,
but to belong
LaFreniere Court is an 18-home development in Bellingham’s Birchwood neighborhood, designed to provide permanently affordable homes for families who have long been priced out of the housing market.
These energy-efficient, two- and three-bedroom homes include townhomes and detached residences that represent a powerful promise: security, dignity, and the opportunity to put down roots.
This capital campaign will ensure that LaFreniere Court becomes not just a collection of houses, but a thriving, connected community.

KulshanCLT will pursue in-kind contributions and local partnerships where possible, particularly for recognition elements, to maximize the impact of every donated dollar.
Without shared spaces, families remain isolated behind closed doors.
Without safe places to gather, children lose opportunities to play freely, neighbors miss chances to connect, and community never fully takes root.
Affordable housing alone does not guarantee belonging, though community does.
LaFreniere Court offers a rare opportunity to change this narrative.
